Are you supposed to trim your eyelashes?

Since we usually don’t give our eyelashes too much thought, you might be tempted to think that they don’t grow. After all, you don’t need to cut them like you do the hair on your head, do you? Eyelashes do indeed grow, though. They help protect your eyes by keeping dust and other debris away.

What will happen if you trim your eyelashes?

They will grow back, you’ll be fine. Hair is only alive in the actual follicle, so anything you do to the lengths only lasts until it grows out. The main thing is that the ends you trimmed will feel spiky until that whole lash has fallen out and re-grown ( usually this takes about six weeks) so no rubbing your eyes.

Can you trim eyelashes if they are too long?

Step three: Use scissors to trim eyelashes If your lashes look too long for your lashes, use small lash scissors to cut a few strands from the outer edge. It’s best to only cut in small amounts at once as it can be easy to misjudge and end up cutting too short that makes the lashes too short for your eyes.
