UVB light allows the synthesis of vitamin D3, which helps to absorb calcium. <b>UVC light is not required for reptiles, but it can help kill bacteria<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_snakes_have_UVB_light\"><\/span>Do snakes have UVB light?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In fact, many species of snake are not particularly nocturnal, or diurnal; their thermal and feeding requirements generally necessitate activity both by day and night.
